Do you want to know about Air Conditioning? Here are some frequently asked questions.
1. Would you rather have no heating / air conditioning or no internet?
No internet without a doubt. When I first came to my house for the first couple of days there was no heating to speak of which mind you is not how one should find their house. My fingers froze and let me tell you, the internet would not be worth anything if I could not feel warm during the cold or cool during a hot day
2. Air Conditioning for Home & Car...from the SUN?
we've appropriate air in spite of the undeniable fact that it works besides as Bush being the President for the previous 7 years. No offense meant, stereotypically talking. yet we bough an extremely air conditioner for our domicile. Sweeeet. :).
3. Air Conditioning, On or Auto?
Auto. The fan will turn on when it needs to, opposed to "On" all the time
4. How do I fix the air conditioning in my home?
Is there ANY air coming from the rectangular vents? Are there two thermostats? Two furnaces? There must be separate breakers for the two outdoor units, they are called compressors, even though the compressor is only part of the outdoor unit. Is one breaker off? How about the two outside switches, i.e. cut offs or disconnects? Additional: this is strange. If you only have one furnace then how can you have two a/c units? The only way is if one unit has it's own system of an indoor fan and vents that is separate from the furnace. This sounds beyond a DIY so I would recommend a pro. If you force the fan on, by the fan switch on the thermostat, you should feel air movement from EVERY vent in the house. If you do not either something is drastically wrong or you have that separate system that I mentioned. Actually, that kind of separate system with a/c only is certainly not unheard of, that is one way to cool a house that has baseboard heat since that would not have a furnace with a duct system. Hmmmm, you said "both units are pushing air." What two units? The outside unit, typically called the compressor unit, does not blow air, ever. The only fan in it blows outside only just to cool the condenser coil that is inside the unit. Pro time, in any case. It's getting too complicated for DIY.
5. In summer would you rather have a fan or air conditioning?
the AC because my fan is a piece of crap! it blows hot air!
6. Switches in motor car air conditioning system?
The fan switch turns on your blower motor which will simply pump out either cool or warm air, depending on your temperature setting. The AC switch activate the AC compressor which will supply cold air to your vehicle. Neither switch must be in the off position at start up. However, it might be best not to have your AC engaged when turning on the ignition.
7. 2001 Taurus Air Conditioning system leaking oil?
first of all...all ac systems have oil. its a comprssor lubrication oil called pag oil. your 2001 taurus uses pag 46. depending on the engine ( 3.0, 3.3, or SHO) the 3.0 taurus's leak at the accumulator, and like most fords, the middle seal in the compressor leaks as well. take it back to the shop and ask them to recheck with a leak detector. if they cannot find the leak add u/v leak detection dye and let it cycle for about 2 weeks. wait til nighttime then shine the u/v light all over the lines and componnents...if theres a leak it will light up like a christmas tree. you dont have to worry about the evaporator, I havnt seen one leak yet. make sure the u/v dye does not contain ANY LEAK SEALER, Ive been selling compressors like crazy because of that stuff. they cause more problems than they fix
8. Fan Motor, does it have anything to do with air conditioning in the car?
no fan no blow if the fan is not working then you will not feel much cold air but air should still work some what but wouldnt really help much without fan
